They're all obviously hand crafted in the typical TFP style where it leads you through the POI, except they came in with new tricks up their sleeves to make it more likely that we get caught off guard. they will just add a few houses and call it a day".these new POI's are amazing. You were absolutely wrong about this update bro, especially when you said "New POIs must be extremely easy to generate. I had an AK and an SMG and got absolutely destroyed because the only way out was through the window I came in from which was blocked by zombies dropping in from the floor above me. I found a new crack a book POI in the middle of a city, the way inside was a path up the side of the building to the 4th floor and through a broken window, I took 2 steps inside the POI and got swarmed by AT LEAST 20 zombies, most of which were feral and quite a few radiated ones. now that you have had a chance to actually play A20, do you still believe this statement to be true? I hope not because it's not true at all lol. You literally have NOTHING to achieve anymore. " Once u get a vehicle(motorcycle is enough, u never need trucks) and a good automatic weapon like m60, that grind basically completely vanishes. My idea is, they should critically work on lengthening the endgame Advanced fortitude perk should give u the ability to craft futuristic automatic weapon(tier 5) and so on For example, unlocking advanced perk of intelligence tree should let you craft AI items like robots and advanced computers. That advanced perk should give special abilities or item crafting abilities. Each skill tree should have one advanced perk which becomes available after putting a few pre set points in that tree. There should also be the choice of unlocking one "advanced perk". Also, more vehicles like helicopters, aeroplane parts etc. Now, my idea was that there should be tier 6 POIs with extremely tough zombies, maybe legendary versions which shoot things at u and only through those POIs u can get futuristic weapons(tier 5 weapons), either u get them as loot in those tier 6 POIs or get them from trader rewards for completing tier 6 POIs. Once u get a vehicle(motorcycle is enough, u never need trucks) and a good automatic weapon like m60, that grind basically completely vanishes. He has to do quests, work towards getting vehicles, towards getting forge, leveling up, finding weapons, building base, maybe craft a workbench, getting resources, unlocking iron tools and many more. A newly spawned player has to find and manage so many things. See, my point is that early game grind is already massive. Lets get all the mechanics in and think about new assets as part of post release updates or leave to modders. I'm glad this is a priority to be honest. Their focus is a 1.0 release and to get the core functionality in and working. The fun will primarily come from exploring and looting, something the new world generation would help a lot imo. Ultimately at its core, this is a sandbox game. It'll never be as indepth and varied as a proper RPG, so while a nice to have, it won't offer much replayability.Īlso, this was again slated for A21/A2 so was never even a part of A20 so not sure why you'd be disappointed when it wasn't ever intended to be in this update. Honestly a story is fun but will never be enough to keep someone engaged. Not to mention giving a couple of Zombies special attacks.īandits are slated for A21, and were never going to be in A20. They're adding in Feral Sense which will actually make all zombies more of a threat. I agree tbh, there's enough variety for an initial release. With pipe guns, they think they've locked down weapons and design of them for a 1.0 release. The trouble here is, you're misunderstanding their priorities.
